Ca'n Vilanova, Campanet, Mallorca
This mellow stone farmhouse is situated in rural countryside a short stroll from Campanet's famous caves and just five minutes drive from the village itself. To the rear of the house, the shady wisteria covered patio is a great spot for a long lazy lunch and is bordered by lawned gardens and further trees and shrubs. Close at hand, at the far end of the house is the covered barbecue area. To the other side, steps lead up to a raised eight metre circular pool and from the elevated terrace here, the tranquil rural views are truly captivating. From the gardens a gate leads out past the dovecote onto the owner's land, which extends some 100 -150 metres down to the dried up riverbed of the Torrente San Miguel. With a little exploring you'll soon find the orange and lemon groves and stands of bamboo, as well as pomegranate, fig and even one or two walnut trees.
Inside the house, the bucolic ambience is accentuated with beamed ceilings, walls of natural stone and blue woven curtains in the windows. From the rear patio an entrance door leads directly into the cottage style living room, with a huge fireplace, two comfortable sofas and a remarkably tall and handsome grandfather clock!
Beyond the living room, the spacious kitchen dining area has a full gas hob with an electric oven, dish washer, large fridge freezer, and plenty of cupboard space. There is also a simple wooden dining table with bench seating, plus a convenient door to the rear terrace for alfresco meals.
Off the living room a fairly steep tiled staircase leads to the first floor level where two further narrow steps angle to the left in the direction of a double bedroom, situated at the far side of a small sitting room. On the opposite side of the staircase, two similar steps and a short corridor lead to a pretty twin bedroom, passing the door to a brand new and well appointed full bathroom.
At ground floor level on the far side of the staircase, there's a further twin bedroom with beyond, a small dressing room and en-suite shower room. Here you will also find a washing machine, and a door leading out to the rear patio. There is a T.V. and DVD player in the living room.
Safety Note: The swimming pool is a uniform depth of nearly two metres so is not suitable for children or non-swimmers.

| I returned form my Mallorca Holiday yesterday and wanted to say how impressed I have been with Freelance Holidays. The booking process was extremely easy, truley a first class service. The villa description was accurate, the villa itself is charming in a great rural setting. Anne was extremely helpful suggesting a walk to Soller, where we found stunning views, not to be missed
Thanks for the great service. Somtimes this overlooked these days. |

| Anne, the representative in Mallorca was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Maria, the owner as we understand it, was lovely and used to leave cakes and flowers etc. The cleaning staff were very dedicated. We had another lovely, well organised holiday and many thanks. |
