At first glance not an obviously picture book villa, the qualities of villa Son Serra, soon become apparent once you pass through the entrance gates, less than 1 km from the little town of Buger. Newly refurbished, comfortable and well equipped accommodation, offers unsurpassed value for couples or families and, should you choose, there�s room for both!

Tastefully furnished in attractive Mallorcan style, this villa has been brought up to date by the addition of modern kitchen and bathroom fittings. But, the pi�ce de resistance for those who enjoy cooking over charcoal, a whole room is devoted to a large barbecue and traditional wood oven, whose oversized French doors open out to the garden.

A covered walkway connects the barbecue room to the immaculate L shaped kitchen/dining room where, alongside a few well chosen period pieces and a farmhouse style table and chairs, all the modern day requirements of a gas hob, electric oven, large fridge freezer and full sized dishwasher are to be found. Nearby, a shady corner of the garden with table and chairs, provides an attractive dining spot.

The comfortable living room is simply, but well furnished with leather club chairs and a squashy sofa arranged around a traditional wood burning stove and TV with DVD player and a prettily dressed table and chairs provides an alternative dining area. French doors open to the front terrace.

An internal hallway off the living room leads to a nicely tiled shower room and two bedrooms furnished with solid, polished wood wardrobes and chests. One bedroom has twin beds and the other, a double bedroom, has french doors to a sunny terrace. An additional aid to sleeping, and worthy of note here are the mosquito nets at windows throughout the villa.

At first floor level, a second small sitting room is furnished with sofa and easy chairs and has just stunning views over the tree tops towards the picturesque hill top town of Campanet and the Sierra Tramuntana Mountains beyond. A balcony also overlooks the pool and garden. Completing this suite, there is an, attractively tiled, full bathroom and an elegantly furnished matrimonial twin bedroom with french doors to a juliette balcony.

In the pretty garden, a Mallorquin archway swathed with vines divides the garden flower beds from the small orchard area where orange, almond and fig trees grow and a gateway opens to a further 12,000 hectares of orchards where you are welcome to wander. Giving peace of mind to parents, the raised 4m x 6m pool is gated.

The beaches at Puerto Pollenca, Alcudia and Cala San Vicent are 20 mins away by car, and excellent walking can be enjoyed both in the immediate area and the foothills of the Tramuntana Mountains, just 15 mins drive away. There is easy access to Palma, by car or by train from the larger towns of Sa Pobla or Inca, neither more than a10 mins car journey.

We feel that Son Serra, at a surprisingly affordable price, is in an excellent position to explore the island from a quiet country location, or of course � just to enjoy a quiet country location!

We loved the villa and its location. Very tranquil and peaceful amongst orange plantations. Spacious accommodation with all the necessary gadgets and beautiful views. Very close to anything we needed. Locals helpful and friendly. Our Rep was a mine of local information.
