From a small parking area above the holiday cottages, Georgos has literally carved a 50 metre footpath to cottage 4, from where 20 natural stone steps lead down the hillside to cottage 3, before continuing down a further 30 stone steps and flower bordered pathways to cottage 1 and 2.

The superb 12 metre swimming pool with adjoining children's pool is located to one side of the property on the terraced hillside a short distance from cottage 3. Protected to the rear by a natural stone wall and with a large sun terrace in the same local stone, it enjoys wonderful views down the valley towards the sea.

Situated above cottages 1 & 2 and just a few metres from the pool, this detached holiday cottage is slightly larger and has a wonderful terrace at the front with rustic patio furniture and spectacular panoramic views over the village from these crete holiday crete holiday cottages to hire to the opposite hillside and on down the valley to the sea.
From the terrace, patio doors lead into the atmospheric living room with rough hewn beamed ceiling and stone fireplace in one corner, plus dining table and chairs and two sofas that can be used as single beds. Off the living room a short passageway leads to a small shower room and also a double bedroom with sloping beamed ceiling and its own patio door to the terrace. The cottages' neat little kitchen is situated at the end of the terrace just beyond the bedroom and perfectly placed for rustling up alfresco meals.

"The owners of the villas were lovely, very kind & nothing too much trouble. There were some lovely touches such as beautiful crocheted lace curtains and hand embroidered pictures. There is a good bakery in Elos about 5 mins drive away and a slightly bigger mini-market than in Kefali. We had a lovely time & will definitely go back again & will happily recommend Velanos to others!"
