There are a total of three spacious, three bedroom apartments, two apartments with two bedrooms and one smaller apartment with one bedroom. All the crete apartments are air conditioned, have their own telephones and share the sparkling 10m x 5m swimming pool, surrounded by sun terraces with pretty flower beds and splashes of bougainvillaea adding a vivid touch of colour. Behind the apartments, vineyards stretch away up the quiet hillside, whilst from your balcony or the poolside, the blue sea beckons beyond the dark green vines.

There is a choice of three tavernas within a very short stroll of the apartments, the nearest of which, opened in 2009 and run by the enthusiastic Tzortakis family, with Mum in the kitchen and the rest of the family waiting at table is conveniently just up the road.  There are two small mini markets no more than  100 metres away. A further choice of tavernas and mini markets are strung along the coast road 500 metres away, from where there is also a regular bus service to Chania.

All these crete apartments with pools have an open plan living area with sofa and easy chairs, plus coffee and dining tables. A pine breakfast bar separates the well equipped kitchens with ample cupboard space and work surfaces, plus full electric cookers, sensibly large fridge freezers, microwave and coffee machine. 

A particular feature of these apartments is the large picture windows or floor to ceiling patio doors at the front of each apartment, making the most of the sea views, whilst double glazing keeps the heat outside where it belongs. For those families with an extra person to accommodate, the sofa in the living room converts into a single bed. All apartments have their own private balconies or terraces complete with patio furniture.

Manolis and Dimitra, the proud owners of these crete apartments with pools holidays accommodation are Greek Canadians, who finally decided to return to their Cretan roots along with their daughters Roula and Dina. They have their own apartment upstairs and take care of the property and their guests with a perfect combination of discreet Canadian efficiency and genuine Cretan hospitality. Be warned  that Dimitra makes the most delicious cakes and other Cretan specialities which she loves her guests to try, so if you are intent on keeping in shape during the holiday, it may take a little more discipline than you counted on.

Especially useful on departure day,  a  reception area tucked away to the rear has 3 guest toilets plus a shower and a storeroom for luggage so you can enjoy your holiday right up to the last minute. There is also a washing machine here for communal use. 

Rouladina Apartment 1, 3 bedrooms

To the side of the apartment and reached via a path from the driveway this, the largest apartment, has an open plan living room with picture windows to the front overlooking a semi circular balcony. To the rear and just one step higher, is the equally spacious kitchen. An archway off the living room leads to an inner hallway with adjoining bathroom and shower room. To the rear of the hallway are 2 twin bedrooms, one of which has patio doors to the rear of the property with views to the hillside vineyards. Off the hallway to the front is a double bedroom with large picture windows and glorious seaviews. This apartment is ideal for clients with limited mobility being on the ground floor and with only one small step up to the entrance and one interior step.

"Review Rating : 5/5 "wonderful holiday " "Just returned from 2 weeks of bliss, lovely apartment in an idyllic setting. the owners Dimitri and Manaolis were so kind nand helpful. Everything we could ever need was provided and the apartment was kept spotlessly clean by the extremely dedicated maid. we hired a car and explored the beaches at Elanfonissi just like a tropical paradise and Falasarn with the warm winds. Do the Samaria gorge and the Fenneys guide to Chania you will always wish you had. i will be telling all my friends to visit this island and to stay at ROULADINA""

"Review Rating : 5/5 "Great Apartments, Great Holiday!" "We have just returned from a wonderful 2 weeks' holiday at Rouladina Apartments. This was our first visit to Crete with our two boys aged 15 and 8 and we were certainly not disappointed. The Apartments are comfortable and clean and in an ideal position away from the bustle of the Tavernas and shops and beach but within easy strolling distance. The photos on the website really do give an accurate idea of the properties and surroundings. The beach is lovely and we spent plenty of time there as well as in the Apartments' pool. The grounds of the Apartments are very attractive and there is plenty of shade available. The owners, Manolis and Dimitra are lovely and we were given a wonderful welcome with home made cakes and Raki! Manolis also regularly gave us produce from his small allotment which he harvested in the mornings. There is maid service every day except Sunday and the sheets and towels are changed twice a week. The area itself is ideal, not too busy but having a good choice of Tavernas and small shops. We hired a car and enjoyed a couple of trips out to Falassarna (North west, about 45 mins drive) and through the mountains to Elafonisi, Southwest about 2hrs drive). If you don't hire a car there is a regular bus service into the main town of Chania, about 20 mins drive and there is also a great water park within about a half hour drive where we spent a very enjoyable day. The weather was fabulous, clear blue skies and hot sunshine every day. We would thoroughly recommend Crete as a holiday destination and these apartments particularly. We are hoping to book again for next year! August 2008" "
